Bodhi Path

Bodhi Path is an international organization of Buddhist centers founded by and under the direction of Shamar Rinpoche (also known as Shamarpa).

Wednesdays at 7:30  pm – Meditation of calm-abiding (30 minutes of meditation with short breaks, with explanation, especially suitable for beginners and non-Buddhists)

Wednesdays at 8:30 pm – Short teachings on various Buddhist topics

We are typically flexible [with conducting the weekly meditation sessions in English]. All instructors guiding the meditation speak English and the instructions are relatively short and easy. (Worst case scenario is we’d explain it in both languages, which is also no problem at all).

Church of Our Lady Victorious – Silent meditation

Come with us into the present moment, where we can truly meet ourselves. Most of the time we are always doing something, in meditation we learn to simply be. Every Thursday, an open group meets regularly in the premises of the Monastery of the Infant Jesus of Prague for joint meditation.

Don't expect any special experiences, that a light will shine or some words will be spoken, or that something extraordinary will happen. However, if you persevere, your life itself will slowly but intensely shine with that inner light. Meditation changes our approach to life; we get to know ourselves and others much more deeply and with greater respect.

The meeting begins with a short introduction, followed by half an hour of silent meditation, and at the end there is time for sharing or questions. If you would like to join the group, either once or repeatedly, you are welcome.

Meditation begins every Thursday at 6 p.m. – GROUP MEDITATION DOES NOT TAKE PLACE DURING JULY AND AUGUST.

Zen – Dojo v Proudu

  • Tuesday: 7:50 – 9:30 p.m.

  • Wednesday: 6:20 – 7:30/8:10 a.m. (online)

  • Thursday: 6:20 – 8:10 a.m.

The first 15 minutes are for settling in. Zazen begins with the sound of wooden clappers and follows the traditional form of Sōtō Zen practice: two periods of seated meditation (zazen) with a short walking meditation (kinhin) in between.
